I've been checking out Gate's new Polymarket monitoring features lately. Honestly, this thing is a bit like directly embedding an "on-chain sentiment radar" into the trading interface.
In the past, when playing prediction markets, I could mostly only watch order book fluctuations and browse comment sections to gauge sentiment.
Now, I can directly monitor smart money addresses, observe position changes of high-yield traders, and even track the flow of funds in hot events in real-time. This is really convenient for those doing event trading.
These days, I’ve been mainly researching a few functions:
• How to find truly consistently profitable traders in the leaderboard
• Whether wallet monitoring can actually detect market sentiment shifts in advance
• How to set single positions so that emotions don’t get the better of you in one big move
• Whether the “smart money” in Polymarket’s hot events is actually pre-positioned or just following the trend
Especially the monitoring feature, I find it quite interesting.
Some big players don’t make money just by calling trades; they really build positions gradually before an event unfolds.
Ordinary users couldn’t see these moves before, but now, being able to observe address changes, position adjustments, and fund flows is, in a way, “learning the market.”
But prediction markets are quite different from regular contracts.
They’re more like trading on “probabilities” and “information gaps.”
You’ll find that often, market rises and falls aren’t necessarily determined by technical analysis, but by who gets information earlier and who understands sentiment transmission better.
Recently, the overall popularity of Polymarket has indeed been increasing, not just in crypto, but also in events like AI, politics, sports, and tech valuations being used for trading.
So, I think the “Second Phase of the Hundred U War God Challenge” that Gate is running this time is pretty interesting.
It’s not just about who makes more money, but more like comparing:
Who’s better at reading market sentiment
Who understands capital behavior more
Who can better identify smart money logic
I plan to continue testing the monitoring features over the next couple of days to see if I can spot opportunities early from address behaviors.
For those involved in prediction markets, we can also exchange ideas together. 👀
