Lately, social mining, points, and badges have become popular again. I also got the itch to scroll, but honestly, badges aren’t worth much; what’s valuable is that after you spend all your time, you still think you’re “building an identity”… It’s pretty easy to get hooked. A couple of days ago, the group was again discussing stablecoin regulation, reserve audits, and various rumors about “de-pegging,” and I watched everyone’s emotions rise and fall. It actually seems more like liquidity anxiety looking for an outlet.

I then simply set a reminder and a limit for myself: only check for a little while each day, and stop if I go over. Strangely, right after setting that, I felt relieved, not so eager to prove I didn’t “miss out.” Anyway, the cycle is still there, and I’d rather chase the light than chase badges.
