Lately I've been debating whether to go with L2 or the mainnet... Honestly, there's security on the mainnet, but as soon as the gas price spikes, I feel like throwing in the towel; L2 is indeed smooth, just a few clicks and it's done, but thinking about bridges and contract permissions, my mind is full of "Will I get rug-pulled in the next second?"

My current compromise is pretty crude: small daily transactions on L2, and if I need to hold something long-term, I slowly move it back to the mainnet. I'd rather wait a bit longer than save that little bit of trouble.
By the way, I see the community arguing about privacy coins/mixing and regulatory boundaries, and the more they argue, the more I feel that on-chain isn't a black-and-white issue. Don't fool yourself into thinking "I'm just using tools" makes you invincible...
Anyway, I just control my position and take it one day at a time.
