Chainalysis: Cryptocurrency companies' compliance standards are improving, but gaps remain in indirect monitoring
Chainalysis's latest report states that compliance in the crypto industry is tightening, but gaps in indirect monitoring remain significant. About 47% of new entrants adopt alert standards that were among the top ten five years ago; direct monitoring has been unified, while indirect monitoring thresholds for ransomware, fraud, and other areas are 10–20 times higher. In 2025, damages caused by North Korea-related hackers are estimated at around $2 billion.
