Rust rewrites take off directly, the small documentation is nearly 100 times faster—this number is too exaggerated, running WASM on the edge is indeed awesome.

LlamaIndex has released LiteParse v2.0 with a complete rewrite, featuring a pure Rust core that speeds up processing by 100 times
CryptoWorld reports that LlamaIndex's open-source LiteParse 2.0, rewritten in Rust, significantly improves speed: nearly 100 times faster on small documents and almost 3 times faster on large documents. It supports PDFs, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, and other document formats, outputting structured text with layout and position information. It offers native packages for Python, JavaScript, and Rust, compiled into WebAssembly for browser and edge local execution. OCR within WASM requires external callback injection.
