CryptoWorld News reports that senior researcher Doug Bandow of the conservative think tank Cato Institute in the United States stated that as the U.S. and Iran implement a dual blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, the main confrontation has shifted to the economic front. He pointed out that Trump's situation is very difficult, and closing the Strait of Hormuz inadvertently gives Iran a powerful weapon, while he himself is reluctant to risk sending U.S. warships to try to open it. Bandow expressed skepticism about Trump's claim that he doesn't care about the impact of the war on the upcoming midterm elections, believing that the last thing he wants to see is a crushing defeat for the Republicans in November.
