Last night, I saw several PFP communities shouting "new benefits coming," and I was thinking: is everyone not paying enough attention, only able to keep adding features to maintain interest... Honestly, membership stuff can boost short-term popularity, but in the long run, it depends on whether someone is actually using it and willing to stay.

It's the same with me picking obscure protocols, first looking at TVL and fee rates as "living traces," then looking at retention, and finally considering whether to buy that avatar/card. Recently, the unlock calendar was brought up again and looked scary; once staking unlocks, everyone talks about selling pressure. The more situations like this, the more you can see: is the brand a moat, or just a fleeting emotion? Anyway, I prefer to take it slow, patiently buying what I understand.
