Optimum is probably one of the more interesting infra projects i’ve looked into recently


> they raised $11M from 1kx, Animoca, Jump, Polygon founders & others
> their first product, mump2p, uses RLNC tech created by MIT professor Muriel Médard
the goal is simple:
make block and transaction propagation faster and more efficient
they claim:
→ up to 6-20x faster block propagation for validators
→ lower latency, meaning blocks + txs reach nodes faster
→ less bandwidth waste by sending coded data shards instead of full repeated data
→ better packet loss recovery during network congestion
what i also like is that @get_optimum works alongside existing libp2p/gossipsub setups instead of forcing chains to rebuild everything from scratch
they are also building DeRAM next for low latency decentralized memory
you should def keep this on radar
