Chinese computing power services accelerate overseas expansion, and mini computer hosts are selling like crazy worldwide.

Caijing News Report, May 27 — Since the beginning of this year, the global artificial intelligence industry has accelerated its development, driving related products and services such as China’s computing power services and smart hardware to expand into international markets. Foreign trade growth across different regions is also showing a stronger “level of intelligence content.” In Shantou, Guangdong, by relying on the “LaiShu Processing” policy pilot, demand from overseas users for large-model calls can enter a dedicated zone via a compliant link. After completing inference computing and token consumption in local data centers, the process returns to overseas clients via submarine optical cables. Last month, the first nationwide full-chain verification of Token (tokens) going overseas was completed here. From a daily call volume of 100 million tokens at the end of April to now an average of 10 billion tokens per day—within less than a month—Shantou’s “token outbound” call scale has grown rapidly. Behind the outbound of computing power services is the simultaneous improvement of China’s computing power infrastructure and hardware supply capabilities. In Shenzhen, a batch of palm-sized microcomputer host systems are becoming “lightweight computing foundations” for overseas large-scale game design, as well as local AI inference scenarios. At present, the shipment volume of these micro hosts accounts for about 15% of the global market. (CCTV Finance)
