Sinopec Economics: Strong cost support continues, boosted by demand from major manufacturers; corrugated paper and boxboard paper continue their upward trend.

Recently, the market prices for corrugated and boxboard paper have increased. As of May 25th, the average daily price of China AA-grade corrugated paper 120g was 2,918.13 yuan/ton, up 0.85% month-on-month and up 13.82% year-on-year. Currently, inventory levels are low, and supply pressure is not significant. Domestic rainy weather is more frequent, and upstream raw material waste paper suppliers have lower delivery volumes, leading to continued price increases, with strong cost support. Large manufacturers continue to announce future price hike plans. Downstream demand remains focused on essential purchases.
