Wang Yi Meets with Bahraini Foreign Minister Zayani

On the 26th local time, Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and China’s Foreign Minister, met with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Zayani while attending a high-level meeting of the United Nations Security Council in New York. Wang Yi said that Bahrain, as a member of the Security Council and the current rotating chair of the Gulf Cooperation Council, confirmed its attendance at the high-level meeting at the first opportunity, demonstrating its emphasis on China–Bahrain relations and its support for China’s role as the rotating chair of the Security Council.
