Deep Tide TechFlow News, on May 27th, cryptocurrency journalist Eleanor Terrett reported that freshman Congressman RepCDMenefee defeated the incumbent Congressman RepAlGreen, who has served for 20 years, in the TX-18 Democratic primary runoff.
In this election, a super political action committee supported by the cryptocurrency industry invested millions of dollars, with Fairshake and its affiliated organizations contributing approximately $6.5 million, mostly to support Menefee and a small portion to oppose Green.
Previously, Green was rated an “F” in Stand With Crypto’s ratings due to opposition to legislation such as the GENIUS Act and the Clarity Act. Fairshake stated that it will continue to actively support leaders like Menefee across the United States.
