Trump stated that maintaining CFTC's exclusive jurisdiction over prediction markets is vital, and prediction markets should thrive. Over the past year, Selig has advocated for CFTC's "exclusive jurisdiction" over prediction markets and has filed lawsuits against five states including Wisconsin, Illinois, Arizona, Connecticut, and New York. Trump also used this to emphasize support for the crypto industry, claiming the U.S. is the "capital of Bitcoin and other crypto assets."
