According to TD Cowen and reported by The Block, with the worsening political environment in the United States, the likelihood of the 《CLARITY Act》 passing this year has decreased. TD Cowen Washington research team Managing Director Jaret Seiberg stated that recent developments surrounding Trump are making it more difficult for Democrats to support the bill without anti-conflict of interest provisions. Seiberg mentioned several factors, including a settlement between Trump and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) involving allegations of weaponizing tax audits; media reports linking members of Trump's family to crypto businesses; and stock trading activities conducted in Trump's name in early 2026.
