Lately I’ve been eyeing airdrop interactions again, and I’ve lowered my expectations mentally—somehow that makes it way more relaxing. I’ll just treat it as spending a bit of time to buy an “on-chain experience ticket”; if I don’t get it, I won’t be so pissed off. If I really want to avoid getting reverse-rugged, I’ve got a few simple dirt-cheap methods right now: if I can avoid authorizing, I don’t authorize; if I authorize, I just revoke it on the spot; for new projects, I do small amounts first—don’t go all-in right away; as for the whole multi-chain, multi-account routine, I can’t be bothered to grind it out, so I’ll pass. Recently, I’ve also been feeling it: retail investors are complaining that miners/validators are taking way too much, and that MEV is making the ordering unfair… Sometimes you think you’re just interacting, but you’re actually helping someone else earn revenue. Anyway, I’m not FOMO—staying in the game matters more.
