Recently, I’ve been looking for real-time market charting software for my computer, and I found that there are quite a few options on the market. I’ve tried several myself, and some are genuinely quite practical.

If you just want to get started quickly with viewing Taiwan stock market quotes, San Zhu Stock Market is still the top choice. Its free quote-viewing features are complete, and 24 technical indicators are more than enough. However, placing orders requires connecting to other brokerages, which is a bit inconvenient. If you want to access international markets, Mitrade’s interface is clean and supports forex, US stocks, and cryptocurrencies. Using the desktop real-time charting version feels pretty smooth.

Futu NiuNiu is suitable for traders who trade Hong Kong and US stocks. It has comprehensive features, but it’s a little complex. Interactive Brokers (IB) is for experienced investors—its features are extremely powerful, but the learning curve is steep. If you’re talking about the strongest drawing tools, nothing beats TradingView. It offers more than 100 technical indicators for you to use, but it can’t place orders by itself—you need to pair it with other brokerages.

The key to choosing still depends on which markets you mainly trade. If you only keep an eye on Taiwan stocks, San Zhu is enough. If you want to monitor multiple markets at the same time on your computer, Mitrade or TradingView is more suitable. For me, I keep TradingView on my computer to view charts, and I install Mitrade on my phone so I can place orders anytime—using both together. How do you choose?
