Want to buy gold but don’t know which shop to go to. At first, I was confused like that too—until I learned that you need to look at 3 things: how many years the shop has been around, whether customers trust it, and whether it is a member of the Thai Gold Trade Association.

The most important part is choosing a shop that has a list of approved stores with global standards. Only then can you be confident that the gold is genuine, the price is standardized, and you won’t be cheated. So I put together 10 shops I trust.

First is Hua Seng Heng, which has a 70-year history. Since back in the old days, this shop has been selling gold ornaments and gold bars. It also offers online services, which is very convenient. It has a Yaowarat branch that is a member of the Thai Gold Trade Association. The shop itself has 350+ branches nationwide—so if you want to buy anywhere, this shop has you covered.

Next is Aurora, with a 40-year history. It focuses on gold ornaments and gemstones. If you’re buying jewelry, this shop is a good choice. It has 200+ branches and also sells online. Ausiris Gold is another interesting option because it was the first to sell gold bars for investment in Thailand. It provides 24-hour service through a website and an app, which is convenient for people who want to invest seriously.

Mae Thong Sook (MTS Gold) is also well-known in the gold investment industry. This shop offers complete services, from gold bars and gold ornaments to trading futures. It provides 24-hour online services. If you want to trade gold for real, this shop is all you need.

TTK (Tung Toh Kang) is the oldest shop in Thailand, with a 160-year history dating back to the reign of King Rama V. The shop has beautiful architecture, and it even has a museum of ancient gold. Currently, it has 30+ branches selling gold ornaments and gold bars with standardized prices from the association.

YLG Bullion has been exporting jewelry for 20+ years. It now offers online trading of gold, including gold bars, gold ornaments, and futures—fully comprehensive. Yaowarat gold leaf mainly focuses on gold ornaments. It has 5 branches. If you want to buy jewelry, it’s a good fit.

Jin Hwa Heng has been in operation since 2523. The shop sells gold ornaments and gold bars, with laser-engraved modern designs. It sells both in-store and online, with standardized pricing. Thanakit has a 40-year history and focuses on jewelry and gemstones. It offers pawn services and custom-made orders.

In summary, if you want to invest for real, you should choose from the list of gold shops with global standards. First, you need to check: whether it is a member of the Thai Gold Trade Association, how many years it has been around, whether customers trust it, whether it offers online services, and whether the prices are standardized.

Another important thing is to check the weight for yourself on the spot. Check the buying and selling prices and the making charges before you buy. And if you sell it back, you should sell it to the same shop where you bought it—because the price will be better. Also, make sure there is a warranty/guarantee certificate. If you follow this, there’s no need to worry about being scammed.
