Actually, everyone understands that mainnet experience is like a premium hand-brewed coffee—smells great, but once you check out (gas), you become sober; L2 is like takeout coffee—less fancy but hassle-free. My compromise is: for daily small transactions and frequent rebalancing, just use L2; if you really need to hold long-term positions or withdraw large amounts, then move back to the mainnet. Anyway, don’t get caught up in a bunch of cross-chain steps just to save two bucks. Recently, when news of bridges being hacked comes out, my impulsive crypto enthusiast side just wants to “transfer it all away quickly,” but then I think about that oracle glitch where everyone collectively “waited for confirmation”… so I force myself to wait for one more confirmation, even if it’s slower. Honestly, saving on gas is fine, but don’t treat security like a discount coupon.
