Clean energy is actually one of the trends that long-term investors shouldn’t miss in 2025.

Why is that? Mostly because since the Russia–Ukraine war broke out, global energy prices have continued to rise steadily. Many countries have started to rely more on clean energy—whether wind power, solar power, or hydropower—and this creates a major opportunity for clean energy stocks in the global market.

Why are companies paying more attention to clean energy? There are four main factors. First, government policies strongly support it. Second, clean energy technology has advanced and is more efficient. Third, the cost of producing clean energy has decreased—solar cell prices are cheaper than traditional electricity. And fourth, consumers are placing more value on companies that are more environmentally friendly.

In Thailand, clean energy stocks are a very new and interesting topic. I’ve noticed there are 2 stocks that investors talk about a lot.

First is GULF (กัลฟ์ เอ็นเนอร์จี ดีเวลลอปเมนท์). This company invests in energy projects both domestically and abroad, focusing on wind power and solar power. The goal is to produce a total of 1,000 megawatts of clean energy within 5 years. The current price is 58.25 baht.

Second is BGRIM (บี.กริม เพาเวอร์). It is a pioneer in Thailand’s private power generation business. In 2568, it announced an investment plan of 136,000 million baht to increase renewable energy generating capacity to 10 gigawatts by 2573. It has also opened a new business in Data Centers. The current price is $13.00.

However, when looking at the size and growth opportunities of clean energy stocks, foreign companies are still bigger. I have 5 interesting foreign stocks.

Brookfield Renewable Partners (BEP) is one of the world’s largest renewable energy producers, with an installed generation capacity of approximately 21,000 megawatts. Price: $20.66.

NextEra Energy (NEE) is the largest electric utility company in the U.S., with a renewable energy generation capacity of approximately 24,000 megawatts. Price: $70.76.

Algonquin Power & Utilities (AQN) is a Canadian company operating in multiple countries. In 2568, it sold its renewable energy business to LS Power to restructure. Price: $4.41.

Enphase Energy (ENPH) is a leader in developing microinverters for solar power systems. It remains committed to advancing clean energy technology. Price: $63.69.

Tesla (TSLA) is an American company accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. It produces electric vehicles and clean energy solutions, develops batteries, and expands its charging station network. Price: $426.50.

Want to invest in foreign clean energy stocks? It’s not difficult anymore. You can open an online account easily. The important thing is to find a reliable broker that is regulated by a competent financial authority to protect our funds.

Why invest in clean energy stocks? Because the traditional energy sources used today are limited, and energy demand is increasing day by day. Clean energy is therefore an important alternative—not only to meet demand, but also to help prevent environmental problems, reduce global warming, and lower various forms of pollution. Clean energy is the energy of the future that will keep the world moving forward sustainably.
