I just recently discovered that there are so many recommended investment platforms in Taiwan, it's overwhelming. I've tried several myself to find ones that are easy to use. Many friends ask me which app I recommend, so I'll share my thoughts.
If you're interested in investing in U.S. stocks, Mitrade is very intuitive to use, with a simple interface that requires almost no learning curve for beginners. You can open an account with as little as $50 USD, and the zero commission is a plus. eToro allows you to copy other people's trading strategies, but there are fees if the account remains inactive. Firstrade is a U.S. broker with completely free commissions, but wire transfer fees and customer service speed are drawbacks.
For Taiwan stocks, I most often use Fuguo; the interface is really beautiful, and E.SUN Securities' background feels reliable. KGI Securities' stock selection strategy tools are quite powerful, but they might be a bit steep for beginners. Investment Mr. offers the most comprehensive features, covering Taiwan stocks, U.S. stocks, funds, and futures, but the interface is indeed a bit complicated.
For fund investing, Richart Bank's system is secure, with a minimum investment of just 100 yuan, or you can try CMoney to buy funds. To check stock market information, I use Emily Fixed Deposit Stocks or Investing; the latter is a very professional global financial platform.
Honestly, the most important thing when choosing an investment platform is to consider your own needs. Make sure it is certified by the Financial Supervisory Commission, ensures fund safety, and has transparent fees. Most platforms offer free account opening, so it's best to try a demo account first to get a feel for it before actually depositing money—that's safer.
