I think we are underestimating something important about the future of AI:
Human reaction.
Many imagine a world where companies completely replace people with AI and robots because “it's more efficient.”
But history shows that society doesn't decide solely based on efficiency or costs.
It also makes decisions based on values, identity, and moral perception.
Today, we already see examples:
People who prefer artisanal products.
Consumers who pay more for “organic.”
Boycotts of companies for labor exploitation.
Brands forced to demonstrate ethical practices.
That's why I believe that sooner or later, the: “Made in Human” will appear.
And it will probably start as a social movement before becoming law.
First, we'll see things like:
“If this restaurant has no human employees, I won't eat there.”
“If all the music was made by AI, I won't listen to it.”
“If this company replaced its entire staff with automation, I boycott it.”
At first, it will sound absurd.
Until millions of people start to feel that the world has become too artificial.
And then politics will follow.
Mandatory labeling.
Minimum percentages of human labor.
Mandatory human attention.
Special taxes on 100% automated companies.
“Made in Human” certifications.
Paradoxically, human work could become a premium luxury.
A coffee served by a person.
Art made by humans.
Hand-assembled shoes.
Customer service with real humans.
But there will also be significant consequences:
Humans who want to remain competitive will have to raise their level tremendously.
More efficiency. More precision. More creativity. More discipline.
Because competing against machines won't allow mediocrity.
Maybe the future isn't:
“humans vs AI.”
Maybe it's:
“what percentage of humanity do we want to preserve.”
