I’ve been wanting to get into trading for a while, but with little capital, so I did my own research. It turns out there are several trading apps that don’t require a fortune to start. Honestly, everything changed when I discovered that you can invest with $20 or less on some of them.

MyTrade was the one that caught my attention first. The interface is clean, without unnecessary clutter, and you can trade stocks, cryptocurrencies, gold, and oil from a single account. It has integrated TradingView charts and a demo account with $50,000 virtual funds. The minimum deposit of $20 is accessible for anyone just starting out. The downside is that it operates with CFDs, so it’s more suited for short-term trading.

If you already have experience, AvaTrade offers more options. Founded in 2006, it provides professional accounts with higher leverage and access to MetaTrader 4 and 5. It has over 1,200 assets and zero commissions on CFDs. The minimum deposit is $100. There’s also XM, which since 2009 has been known for its extremely high leverage (up to 1000x) and full compatibility with MetaTrader. You can open an account with just $5.

Plus500 is another trading app with a lot of variety. It’s listed on the London Stock Exchange, has over 2,800 CFDs, and advanced analysis technology. Recently, they entered the U.S. market with futures and prediction contracts. Minimum deposit of $100.

And then there’s eToro, which is different. Launched in 2007, it’s the social trading platform where you can automatically copy the trades of experienced traders. That’s what makes it special for beginners. Minimum deposit of $50 and access to over 3,000 real assets, not just CFDs.

Honestly, choosing depends on your profile. If you’re just starting and want something simple, MyTrade with $20 is your entry point. If you know what you’re doing and want high leverage, XM or AvaTrade with MetaTrader are better options. If you’re interested in following other investors, eToro is the choice. All are regulated by official financial authorities, so they’re safe to use. The important thing is to practice with demo accounts before investing real money and understand that all trading involves risks. It’s not magic; it’s about learning well and making smart choices.
