Data: The two giants take a break, Japanese food brand DayDayCook unexpectedly becomes this week's biggest BTC buyer

Mars Finance News, according to SoSoValue data, as of 8:00 AM Eastern Time on May 25, 2026, the total net weekly purchases of Bitcoin by publicly listed companies worldwide (excluding mining companies) for the past week was $17.38 million, down 99.14% compared with the previous week. Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) did not purchase Bitcoin last week. Metaplanet, a Japanese publicly listed company, also did not purchase Bitcoin last week. In addition, 2 other companies purchased Bitcoin last week. On May 21, Japanese food brand DayDayCook announced that it spent $15.8992 million to buy 200 BTC at a price of $79,496 each, bringing its total holdings to 2,583 BTC. On May 21, the UK Bitcoin company The Smarter Web Company announced that it invested $1.48 million to buy 19 BTC at a price of $77,687 each, bringing its total holdings to 2,859 BTC. As of the time of writing, the total number of Bitcoins held by publicly listed companies worldwide (excluding mining companies) in the statistics was 1,114,060 BTC, up 0.02% from the previous week, with a current market value of approximately $86.03 billion, accounting for 5.6% of Bitcoin’s circulating market cap.
