I've been trying out different trading apps for a while, and honestly, at first it seemed like I needed a huge capital to get started. But no, that's history now. There are better trading apps that let you start with very little money, even with $5 or $20.

The one I liked most for beginners is MiTrade. The interface is clean, without much noise, and you can trade stocks, forex, gold, Bitcoin all from a single account. The best part is you start with $20 USD and already have $50,000 in virtual money to practice for 90 days risk-free. The spreads are tight and there are no execution commissions.

If you already have experience and want more leverage, AvaTrade has professional accounts with more aggressive conditions. Founded in 2006, it’s solid and allows trading via MetaTrader 4 and 5. The minimum deposit is $100 USD but you have access to over 1,200 assets.

Plus500 is another that surprised me. It’s listed in London, has over 2,800 CFDs, and recently opened access to futures and prediction markets. It’s for experienced people seeking a serious variety of assets. It also starts from $100 USD.

XM is the favorite of those who master MetaTrader. It offers up to 1,000x leverage (be careful with that), multiple account types, and you can start with just $5 USD. It has over 1,400 instruments.

And then there’s eToro, which is different. It’s not for active trading but for following other traders through copy trading. It’s social, intuitive, perfect if you’re a beginner and want to learn by watching what the experts do. Starting from $50 USD.

The truth is, the best trading apps depend on your profile. If you’re just starting out, MiTrade or eToro. If you already know, AvaTrade or XM with MT4/MT5. And if you’re looking for a variety of assets and futures, Plus500 has you covered.

What’s important is that before investing real money, practice on the demo accounts that all of them offer. And remember, all trading involves risk. It’s not a game.
