Dutch government has scrapped plans to speed up the increase in the retirement age


The unions had previously issued an ultimatum: if the retirement age increase wasn’t dropped, strikes would follow
That creates a net budget shortfall of more than €2.7 billion per year starting in 2031. How this will be covered will be decided at a later stage
