Recently, I found that computer stock trading software really varies quite a bit, especially for serious traders. While checking the market on your phone is convenient, only on a computer can you truly unleash your full potential—big screens, full tools, and the ability to monitor multiple markets at once.
I've tried several options myself, and SanTzu Stock Market is particularly suitable for investors focused on the Taiwan stock market; it provides complete and stable data, but placing orders can be a bit cumbersome and roundabout. If you want to trade US stocks or forex, Mitrade's desktop interface is extremely simple—easy for beginners to pick up quickly—and it also supports easy deposits and withdrawals in New Taiwan Dollars. Futu NiuNiu is a versatile player for Hong Kong and US stocks, with especially strong options trading features.
If you're a professional trader or a quantitative enthusiast, Interactive Brokers' Trader Workstation is complex but incredibly powerful, offering access to over 120 markets worldwide. However, the interface is a bit steep learning curve and takes some time to get used to. TradingView's charting tools are the most impressive I've seen, with over 100 technical indicators available for use. The downside is that it can't place orders on its own and needs to be paired with other brokers.
Honestly, choosing stock trading software for your computer mainly depends on your trading style. If you just want to watch Taiwan stocks, SanTzu is enough; for simple and easy-to-use tools, Mitrade is great; for comprehensive features, Futu NiuNiu is ideal; and for professional-grade tools, IB or TradingView are the best options. Each has its own advantages—there's no absolute best. The key is to find the one that suits you best.
