I've just noticed that more and more people are asking about IDO since the market started to recover. And actually, IDO, as I see it, is one of the most important fundraising methods in the current crypto industry.

It started around 2020 when DeFi was gaining momentum. The simple idea is that instead of projects selling tokens through traditional methods, they choose to use DEX (Decentralized Exchange) instead. This approach reduces the risk of scams because everything is on the blockchain and smart contracts. People can verify everything before investing.

What makes IDO interesting is that it’s much more convenient. Small new projects can raise funds quickly, and ordinary investors can participate more easily. For example, SushiSwap raised over $1.14 billion USD through this method.

The process of doing an IDO involves a system that uses Proof-of-Stake to ensure security. Investors must lock tokens into a pool to participate, which also helps prevent immediate selling that could cause the price to drop.

Compared to ICOs and IEOs, IDO is a better version. ICOs are the old way of selling tokens directly to investors. IEOs came afterward, selling through exchange platforms. But IDO goes further, offering more decentralization, higher transparency, and equal opportunities for everyone.

To participate in an IDO, you need a digital wallet and tokens beforehand. Read the details carefully. Usually, tokens are transferred after the fundraising round ends. It’s very important to choose a trustworthy Launchpad platform because there are many scams. Using reputable DEXs like Uniswap or PancakeSwap is better. Also, read all the terms thoroughly, as sometimes tokens may be locked for a long time after the IDO.

In summary, IDO is a new innovation that makes it easier and safer for investors to access new projects. But you must be careful when choosing projects and always do your research before deciding to invest.
