The network just got congested again earlier. I submitted a transaction that was like waiting in line in the mempool: first broadcast it out, then everyone competes to pay higher fees, miners/packagers pick the most expensive ones first, and I, being stingy, just watch the heartbeat. What's more annoying is that you think clicking submit is enough, but in reality, you might get stuck in the middle, with the price slipping away, retries failing, or just staying pending the whole time, and your emotions get pushed to the limit.

Now a bunch of new L1/L2 projects are offering incentives to attract TVL, and veteran users complain "mining, selling, and dumping" for good reason, especially during congestion: the chain is like rush hour, whoever is in a hurry pays more, and even after paying, it’s not guaranteed to go through smoothly. Honestly, what I fear most isn’t losing money, but losing control — that feeling of being unable to cancel a transaction, just watching it queue up endlessly. Anyway, I’d rather be a bit more cautious now, hold back during congestion, and wait until things calm down before acting.
