One of the most common questions among friends is: which gold shop is the best to buy from? Today, I’d like to share my own experience after studying gold investment for a while.
Actually, choosing a gold shop isn’t as difficult as you might think—as long as the shop is a member of the Gold Traders Association of Thailand, it’s safe. I often go to Yaowarat because there are many shops to choose from, such as Yaowarat Gold Department Store, Hua Seng Heng Gold Department Store, TTK Gold, or Mae Thong Sook. All of these are long-established shops that customers have trusted for a long time.
For good gold bar brands, I recommend Ausiris Gold and YLG Bullion. Both of these shops offer fairly convenient online services, and if you want to buy as jewelry, Aurora Gold or Jin Hwa Heng Gold Department Store is also a good choice.
But most importantly, you need to check the price and the premium before buying, and keep the warranty receipt/card carefully. Because one day, when you have to sell it back, you’ll get a good price. Investing in gold bars is suitable for people who want to save money long-term and hedge against inflation; but if you want to speculate on short-term price movements, you can also try trading gold online.
What you need to remember is: no matter which shop you choose, make sure it is reliable, has a long operating history, trades at prices according to the association’s standards, and has a clear and well-defined product warranty system. Doing this will make your gold investment safe and trustworthy.
