Recently, while looking at stock trading software, I realized that using a computer to monitor the market is way more enjoyable than on a mobile phone. The larger screen, faster data processing, and the ability to open multiple windows to watch different markets—these advantages are simply unmatched by mobile devices. Especially for those serious about technical analysis, viewing MACD lines on a phone is basically a nightmare.
I’ve tried several stock market apps on the computer and found that each has its own strengths. If you're a beginner in Taiwan stocks, San Zhu Stock Market’s free trading platform isn’t bad; it offers 24 technical indicators and multiple viewing modes. The downside is that placing orders requires connecting to a third-party broker, which can be a bit troublesome. If you want to trade international markets, Mitrade’s interface is clean and user-friendly, supporting US stocks, commodities, cryptocurrencies, and so on, plus it’s very convenient to deposit and withdraw in New Taiwan Dollars.
Futu NiuNiu’s interface design is also quite tidy, covering Hong Kong stocks, US stocks, and options, making it especially suitable for those who want to operate multiple markets simultaneously. For those who are very particular about technical analysis, TradingView’s charting features are truly powerful—over 100 indicators and drawing tools available freely, and its database comprehensively covers markets worldwide. Interactive Brokers offers the most complete features but has a complex interface, suitable for experienced traders.
So, when choosing a stock market app on the computer, you should consider your needs. Beginners might find Mitrade or San Zhu easier to get started with, for in-depth analysis use TradingView, and for international market operations, choose Futu or Interactive Brokers. Overall, the desktop version is definitely much more comfortable than the mobile app, especially when you need to monitor the market for long periods or perform complex analysis.
