Why are small towns increasingly lacking development now?

It's basically being drained dry.
When there were physical stores before,
spending ten yuan on a meal back home,
that ten yuan went directly into the owner's hands.
The owner then took that ten yuan to buy clothes at the neighbor's store,
the person buying clothes then used that ten yuan to buy groceries,
and that ten yuan kept circulating in the small town.
Now, most transactions happen on platforms,
ordering takeout, buying clothes, shopping,
