Sei’s upgrade this round is a bit brutal—IBC assets are getting their gates shut directly. If you have USDCet, ATOM, or other assets like these, get them bridged out now. Don’t wait until the proposal passes—by then, it’ll be too late to even cry.

Sei v6.4 upgrade adds a new switch to disable IBC asset transfers in and out
Sei v6.4 upgrade includes a protocol-level switch to disable IBC asset transfers, which will be enabled through a governance proposal in the future. If you hold some IBC assets on Sei, you need to bridge them out to the original chain as soon as possible before the proposal passes; otherwise, native Cosmos assets will not be able to be transferred into Sei, and assets may not be recoverable. Assets that need to be processed promptly include: USDCet, USDCop, USDTbs, ATOM, WBTC. This move is a step to promote SIP-3 and transition the network to an EVM-only chain.
