Recently researching market charting software, I found that the desktop version is still truly necessary. No matter how big your phone screen is, you can’t simultaneously view MACD, the KD lines, and multiple market quotes; only a desktop charting platform can bring out the full power of these tools.
If you’re a Taiwan stock investor, the SanTzu Stock Market is basically a must-install. It offers 24 technical indicators, 10 market viewing modes, and very complete post-market data. The only catch is that it doesn’t provide order placement by itself—you need to connect with a broker to trade. But purely in terms of how professional the market charting software is, SanTzu’s depth in the Taiwan market really has no competition.
If you want to trade international markets, Mitrade and Futu NiuNiu each have their strengths. Mitrade’s interface is so simple that beginners can get started quickly. It supports multi-asset trading such as US stocks, forex, and cryptocurrencies, and its Taiwan localization is also quite good—you can make deposits and withdrawals in New Taiwan Dollars. Futu NiuNiu is more suitable for deep investors in Hong Kong and US stocks, and its options calculation features are quite detailed.
Interactive Brokers (IB) and TradingView are options for advanced users. IB’s Trader Workstation is extremely powerful, but honestly, it may intimidate beginners—the interface complexity is a bit high. TradingView is the top-tier tool for charting and technical analysis, with over 100 indicators and drawing tools, but it can’t place orders directly on its own—you need to pair it with a broker.
To be honest, choosing a market charting software still comes down to your trading style. If you only want to track market prices simply, choose Mitrade. If you want to focus on Taiwan stocks, choose SanTzu. If you want to cover global markets comprehensively, choose IB or Futu. If you want to focus on chart analysis, choose TradingView. Each market charting software has its own positioning—there’s no absolute best, only the one that’s most suitable for you.
