Man, I just now started to better understand the whole story of Carol Paiffer and her brother Joaquim in the financial market. Like, this duo started from scratch in 2006 when they were still in college, creating Paiffer Investments practically in the garage, and within two years they already had over 600 clients. While the stock market was dropping more than 30%, their portfolio was rising 40%. That’s no small feat.

The most interesting thing is that Carol and Joaquim Paiffer built a fortune based on education and discipline, not on miracle promises. When Carol took over Atom S.A. in 2013, the company was born with a very clear proposal: professional traders operating with their own capital, but with real rules and risk management. That was practically nonexistent in Brazil at the time.

People don’t realize it, but Carol changed the game when she created Atom University. She saw that many traders simply didn’t know how to handle pressure and risk control, so instead of complaining, she structured education, methodology, and access to capital. Result? Her traders keep up to 80% of the profits, something quite rare around here.

When she entered Shark Tank in 2020, Carol started diversifying even more. She invested in Hand Dry, Casa das Latas, Total Beach Tennis, and even in Vasco’s women’s football team. But the important detail is that she doesn’t invest in just anything. She looks for businesses with real scale, prepared entrepreneurs, and products that already have market traction.

Her fortune, estimated at around US$ 900 million, comes precisely from this combination: professional trading, financial education, participation in Atom, and strategic investments in startups. It’s not a number that appears out of nowhere; it’s the result of over 20 years in the market, discipline, and long-term vision.

What I find most striking is that Carol Paiffer and Joaquim Paiffer built all of this without promising miracles. They always make clear the risks of day trading and the importance of technical preparation. If you’re thinking about entering this world of investments and trading, their example shows that knowledge, patience, and risk management make all the difference. It’s not about getting rich fast; it’s about building real wealth.
