Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Rapid growth in electronic information manufacturing production in the first quarter

Reporters learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that in the first quarter of this year, China's electronic information manufacturing industry experienced rapid growth in production, continuous recovery in exports, significant improvement in profitability, and accelerated investment growth. Data shows that in the first quarter, the added value of electronic information manufacturing enterprises above designated size increased by 13.6% year-on-year, with growth rates 7.5 and 1.1 percentage points higher than those of the same period in industry and high-tech manufacturing, respectively. Among the main products, smartphone production reached 298 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6.9%. In the first quarter, the operating revenue of electronic information manufacturing enterprises above designated size reached 4.31 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%, with cumulative export delivery value increasing by 4.2% year-on-year. In the first three months of this year, fixed asset investment in electronic information manufacturing increased by 5.4% year-on-year, 4.2 percentage points higher than that of January to February.
