Our country's wearable robots have achieved new breakthroughs

Abstract generation in progress
Recently, a research team led by Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics developed a wearable rehabilitation robot, which to some extent proves that through scientific physical training, it is possible to help children with severe muscle atrophy achieve substantial muscle regrowth. This achievement was published on May 20 in the main journal of the international academic publication "Nature." This device weighs only 0.96 kilograms and can be worn on the knees of pediatric patients with nerve and muscle degeneration, assisting them in nerve and muscle rehabilitation training. Unlike the familiar wearable assistive devices, this machine does not "assist with force," but instead uses a sophisticated adaptive system to precisely add resistance to the patient, thereby awakening the dormant nerves and muscles in children with severe muscle atrophy.
