Reporters have learned from the State Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau that as of 9 a.m. on May 22, regarding the heavy rainfall and flooding disasters in Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, and Guangxi, insurance companies have received over 20k claims, with an estimated loss of 510 million yuan. Insurance institutions have quickly opened fast claim channels and have paid out 120 million yuan. It is understood that the Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau recently issued a notice on "Effective Response to Flood Season Disasters and Insurance Claim Service Work," requiring all insurance companies to open green channels, simplify claim procedures, optimize claim processes, and ensure quick claims, full claims, and reasonable pre-claims; proactively serve based on the actual situation of affected areas; closely monitor the progress of insurance payouts and pre-payments, respond promptly to customer demands, and further improve the quality and efficiency of insurance claims.
