According to data statistics from the Zhuhai Port Checkpoint of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, since the “Macau Vehicles Northbound” and “Hong Kong Vehicles Northbound” policies were introduced in 2023, as of around 11 a.m. this morning, the number of Hong Kong and Macau single-plate vehicles entering and exiting through the Zhuhai road port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has exceeded 10 million vehicle trips. More than 228,000 drivers have completed border inspection filings, and more than 192,000 registered vehicles have been filed.

Data shows that since the implementation of the “Macau Vehicles Northbound” and “Hong Kong Vehicles Northbound” policies, the number of Hong Kong and Macau passengers entering and exiting via the port has grown at an average annual rate of 34%. In 2025, it has already reached nearly 18 million passenger trips. The border inspection authorities expect the figure to potentially exceed 20 million passenger trips this year.

The border inspection station said that since the beginning of this year, the number of Hong Kong and Macau single-plate vehicles inspected has exceeded 1.63 million vehicle trips. On weekends and public holidays, the daily average has reached about 16,000 trips. Among them, on April 6, during the Qingming holiday, the number of Hong Kong and Macau single-plate vehicles entering and exiting reached 22.8 thousand trips in a single day, setting a new daily historical high since the policy was implemented.
