Alipay, Tenpay, UnionPay Business, and several other large third-party payment institutions successfully renewed their payment licenses.
On April 30th, the People's Bank of China announced the renewal (reissue) public notice information for non-bank payment institutions' "Payment Business Licenses" (2026 May batch), which shows that a total of 17 institutions, including Alipay Payment Technology Co., Ltd., UnionPay Business Payment Co., Ltd., Allinpay Network Service Co., Ltd., Kuaiqian Payment Clearing Information Co., Ltd., Shanghai Huifu Payment Co., Ltd., Shanghai Shengfutong Electronic Payment Service Co., Ltd., Ping An Pay Electronic Payment Co., Ltd., Shanghai Fufeitong Payment Service Co., Ltd., Beijing Qian Daibao Payment Technology Co., Ltd., Yufu Payment Co., Ltd., Online Banking (Beijing) Payment Technology Co., Ltd., Lakala Payment Co., Ltd., E-Generation Payment Co., Ltd., Newborn Payment Co., Ltd., Tenpay Payment Technology Co., Ltd., Yingsheng Payment Service Co., Ltd., Shanghai Huanxun Payment Co., Ltd., have their "Payment Business Licenses" renewed.
Meanwhile, renewal applications for three payment institutions have been suspended, and one payment institution's renewal application has not been accepted.
