Mars Finance News, on May 25, according to the Indonesian National News Agency ANTARA, the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has blocked the prediction market platform Polymarket, citing that the platform is suspected of conducting online gambling activities under the guise of "prediction markets." The Director General of Digital Space Supervision at the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Alexander Sabar, stated that platforms like Polymarket, although using blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, are actually involved in betting and speculation on the outcomes of uncertain events, thus violating Indonesian laws. The department said that in addition to blocking the Polymarket website, they are also tracking social media accounts related to it and will continue to block platforms suspected of providing similar services.
