The Observatory states that an upper anticyclone is bringing generally clear weather to the Guangdong coast. The highest temperature recorded in Hong Kong this afternoon was 32 degrees Celsius, the highest so far this year.

The upper anticyclone will continue to bring generally clear and hot weather to the Guangdong coast over the next two or three days. It is expected that a low-pressure trough will approach the South China coast near the weekend, causing the weather in the area to become increasingly unstable with showers and thunderstorms. Meanwhile, an easterly airflow will affect the Guangdong coast from the weekend to early next week, causing temperatures in the area to slightly decrease.

The Observatory forecasts that the minimum temperature tomorrow morning will be about 29 degrees Celsius, with hot weather during the day, and the maximum temperature will be around 33 degrees Celsius. Light to moderate south to southwest winds will blow, initially offshore with strong breezes, and occasionally gusty winds in the highlands.
