I only write one note: in plain terms, a cross-chain message is really about taking out these three things—“who is passing the message, who can attest, and who can backtrack”—and then going through them one by one without believing anyone. Whether it’s IBC, message passing, bridges, lightweight clients/relayers/verifiers or multisigs, oracles and even the front-end (including that moment where you click to confirm yourself), as soon as any piece has that “wait for confirmation” vibe like in cases where a bridge was stolen or an oracle went haywire and everyone can only “wait for confirmation,” I’ll pull out first and ask questions later—even if it takes longer, I’m fine with that.
