BNB Chain Ecosystem Decentralized AI API Routing Protocol BNBRouter Officially Launched

Abstract generation in progress
Mars Finance News, on May 25th, according to official sources, the decentralized AI API routing protocol BNBRouter based on BNBChain has officially launched, supporting unified calls for over 36 mainstream AI models including OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek, Groq, and others. Developers can access multiple model services through a unified API interface compatible with OpenAI format, enabling intelligent routing and automatic fault switching.
It is reported that users can recharge API Credits using a hybrid payment of BNB or BNBR, with the BNBR portion being automatically burned through on-chain contracts, forming an on-chain economic model of "AI call volume growth—Token continuous deflation."
BNBRouter also integrates the x402 payment protocol and supports multiple open-source frameworks, allowing AI Agents to autonomously complete payments, inference calls, and on-chain interactions, further promoting the implementation of Machine-to-Machine AI Economy scenarios.

BNBRouter, that name is too straightforward, but the x402 integration does have some substance. The scenario where the AI Agent pays its own gas fees has finally been implemented.

Unified invocation of the 36+ models—finally, you don’t have to look for API keys everywhere. But how long BNBR’s burn-and-deflation economic model can keep going still depends on the actual call volume.

Decentralized AI routing is most worried about latency issues.
Can 36 models be scheduled on-chain and confirmed quickly enough?

x402 protocol is compatible with multiple frameworks, so the development cost for developers should not be high. I have free time this weekend to try connecting a demo.

BNB/BNBR dual-currency recharge, BNBR also has burning, the project team wants to tightly bind the token price with AI usage volume.

The deflationary model looks appealing, but the premise is that AI usage continues to increase; otherwise, it's like stepping on both feet with the left foot.

AI Agent autonomous on-chain payment interactions; only after taking this step does the true automated economic cycle truly begin

BNBChain ecosystem has been quite active lately. This is considered a relatively hardcore infrastructure, not just a shell project.

On-chain destruction + API call hooking; this design is more interesting than simple staking mining, as it at least has real consumption backing its value.

Automatic failover is too important for the production environment; previously, a model from a certain provider went down in the middle of the night and almost caused a crash.
