Zoom's early investment in Anthropic has yielded over one billion dollars in returns
In May 2023, Zoom invested approximately $51 million through its venture capital arm, Zoom Ventures, and now the initial investment's valuation has risen to nearly $1.3 billion.
The strategic purpose of this investment was to integrate Anthropic's Claude large language model into Zoom's federated AI architecture.
As Anthropic is expected to complete a new round of financing as early as this week, the valuation of Zoom's minority stake is likely to increase further.
