A lawyer said that a retired judge discussed the bizarre reasons Chinese people apply for asylum.

Applicants: Various reasons
1. Their beloved dog was beaten to death on the street.
2. They are in debt and constantly get calls chasing them, with the mafia coming to pursue them, calling for fights and killings.
3. A woman said she experienced domestic violence and is afraid to return to China.
4. Her husband is having an affair, and no one in China cares.
5. The man said he can't find a partner in China, and they require a bride price; here in the U.S., no bride price is needed.
6. In the group chat, he insulted the leader and can't return to China; he expressed dissatisfaction, cursed the district government, and at midnight, the streetlights are out, and the district government refuses to repair them.
7. Using VPN to bypass the Great Firewall to watch NBA basketball; in China, even watching basketball isn't free.
8. A funny reason is that I must seek asylum in the U.S. because Trump’s administration was chaotic, and I stayed to help restore order.
Damn it, I think this lawyer has their IQ rubbed into the ground.
