Global AI large model weekly usage increases for five consecutive weeks; domestic AI surpasses the US for four straight weeks; DeepSeek-V4-Flash tops the chart

Golden Finance reports that on May 25th, according to Meiri, based on the latest data from OpenRouter, the total global AI large model calls last week (May 18th to May 24th) reached 28.9 trillion tokens, a 7.4% increase compared to the previous week, marking five consecutive weeks of growth, with demand for large model calls continuing to be released. Among the listed AI large models, China's weekly call volume reached 9.223 trillion tokens, a 19.89% increase week-over-week; during the same period, the US AI large model weekly call volume was 4.93 trillion tokens, a 16.27% increase week-over-week. China's large model weekly call volume has exceeded the US for four consecutive weeks and remains the top globally, indicating that Chinese models are penetrating the global developer call system more deeply.
Last week, among the top three global call volumes, the top two were Chinese AI large models, namely DeepSeek-V4-Flash and Tencent Hy3 preview. Among them, DeepSeek-V4-Flash ranked first with a weekly call volume of 3.43 trillion tokens, a 66% increase; Hy3 preview ranked second with a weekly call volume of 3.07 trillion tokens, a 16% increase. Notably, the KimiK2.6 Moon Shadow, which ranked sixth the previous week, dropped out of the list.
