Does HYPE want to replicate the GME legend? The entire internet is starting to hunt down the “epic short squeeze”
Nowadays, HYPE is becoming more and more like GME back then.
The difference is, in the US stock market, it was retail investors fighting Wall Street; now, it’s the entire crypto community targeting Loracle.
What does a $140 million short position mean?
It’s no longer an ordinary position.
It’s a “super signal” capable of influencing market sentiment.
Many times, the price doesn’t rise because of value appreciation, but because the market realizes: “Someone is about to blow up here.”
So all funds start rushing in the same direction.
This is a classic “short squeeze fueled rally.”
The most dangerous part of HYPE recently is:
It’s no longer just a coin.
It has become a reality show.
Everyone’s daily focus isn’t on candlestick charts, but on:
“Did Loracle blow up today?”
As long as it doesn’t blow up, the bulls still have a story.
As long as they’re holding, there’s market momentum to push the price higher.
Because in the crypto world, “publicly disclosed huge short positions” are actually a positive signal.
Especially now, as the overall market risk appetite is increasing, MEME sentiment is warming up again, and high-volatility assets are most easily targeted by speculators.
So HYPE might enter an extremely exaggerated trend:
The more bad news, the more it rises;
The larger the short, the more it pulls;
Everyone thinks it should fall, but it refuses to drop.
This isn’t about value logic.
It’s about human nature logic.
Of course, Loracle isn’t a fool either.
The fact that he’s been holding for so long suggests he might be waiting for one thing:
Liquidity exhaustion.
Because any short squeeze ultimately dies from “no one willing to take the other side.”
Once new funds stop flowing in, HYPE could instantly drop from 70 to 50.
So my prediction for the end of May is:
There’s a short-term chance to hit $72;
But the closing price at the end of the month is more likely to be between 63 and 66.
The reason is simple.
A short squeeze can create madness,
but madness will ultimately return to reality.
The only question is:
Who will be the last person to believe “it can still rise ten times”?#Polymarket每日热点
