Trump Says US Iran Deal Is “Not Fully Finalized” As Tehran Rejects Key US Demands

President Donald Trump said negotiations with Iran are still incomplete, pushing back against criticism of the proposed agreement and insisting any final deal would be “good and appropriate.”

Trump stated that critics “don’t know what it is” because the agreement has not been fully negotiated yet. White House officials also confirmed the US and Iran remain “several days away” from signing any formal agreement.

Meanwhile, Iran signaled a hardline stance on several key issues.
According to Iranian officials:
• Iran will not return the Strait of Hormuz to its pre war management structure
• Tehran says the strait remains under Iranian control
• Iran has not negotiated away its enriched uranium stockpile
• Iranian lawmakers insist the US must ultimately accept Iran’s conditions

Both sides are signaling progress publicly, but behind the scenes the core disagreements, nuclear enrichment, sanctions, and control of the Strait of Hormuz remain unresolved
