In the second half of the week, it basically gave back the early-week gains, and fell back below the daily moving average band. Over the weekend, easing expectations for the U.S.-Iran situation reemerged, which led to today’s U.S. crude oil experiencing a sharp gap-down and opening lower, falling to around 91. Although the selloff has now stopped, there is no clear rebound strength, suggesting that market sentiment is largely leaning toward the expectation that the U.S.-Iran situation may continue to ease. This may also result in U.S. crude oil facing ongoing sentiment pressure driven by news this week. However, news related to the U.S.-Iran situation remains changeable, bringing significant uncertainty and risk to the market this week.  

Given how heavily the current market is affected by uncertainty in news, conservative traders at the start of the week may choose to observe and temporarily avoid the current tangled, complex, and volatile news-driven market. Aggressive traders at the start of the week should also watch more and act less. For technical levels, you can focus on the potential fill of the upside gap between 93.6 and 94.6, and on support testing in the 91 to 90 area. If you want to take a risk and participate, you can consider short-term low-buy and high-sell within this range.
