Crypto Industry Welcomes the Robot Era, Integrates Automatic USDT Transactions on Solana

The crypto industry is ready to enter a fully autonomous robotic era. The Layer 1 network dedicated to DePIN, Peaq, has just realized this scenario through a delivery robot demonstration on the streets of Seoul, South Korea, on Friday, (5/22). In this trial, a delivery robot was able to rent digital maps, independently decide routes, and pay its own service fees without human intervention.
​The robot operates using peaqOS, a operating system developed by Peaq that functions like Android for robots, and accesses the marketplace for machine services called robotic.sh. To navigate routes, the robot independently rents data from the navigation platform NAVER Maps. When encountering a blocked sidewalk in the middle of the street, the robot can make autonomous rerouting decisions and immediately complete its payment transactions using Tether or USDT stablecoin on the Solana network.
​This demo introduces a new concept called pay-per-skill robotics, where robots are no longer just passive assets of companies, but independent economic actors capable of generating and spending their own capital. This integration ensures that all identity data records, including decentralized identity (DID), embedded wallets, and task verification, are stored transparently and verifiably on-chain. Through the launch of robotic.sh, Peaq opens the door for millions of other autonomous devices, from drones to humanoid robots, to transact and utilize various machine-based services in the future.
